DJ Brand Identity Design

Brand identity creation for DJ, a student from the nation’s #1 entrepreneurship program. Over four weeks, we collaborated through weekly feedback meetings, allowing for continuous iteration and refinement of their logos. The result was a curated typography scheme, dynamic color palette, engaging social media mock-ups, and a versatile logo, all cohesively aligned to capture their unique brand vision.

Phase 1:
Initial Consultation and Brand Foundation

DJ’s brand is built on faith, love, competency, and discipline, with a focus on creating lasting impact. Together, we defined his core values, created taglines, and refined mission statements to be concise, precise, and impactful.

Phase 2:
typography system

To establish a consistent and meaningful typography system for DJ’s brand, I presented him with three distinct options, each designed to capture different aspects of his values. DJ selected this final typography combination to balance modernity with tradition.

Phase 3:
color palette development

I presented DJ with three distinct color palettes—Sophisticated, Bold, and Balanced—to capture various aspects of his values. DJ selected a blend of the Sophisticated and Balanced palettes, combining blue with earthy neutrals. The blue reflects faith, discipline, and reliability, while the neutral tones add a sense of warmth and legacy, aligning with his mission to build trust and lasting impact.

Phase 4:
logo development

To create a logo that resonates with DJ’s major in finance, I conducted research into logotypes commonly used in the industry. DJ preferred a design that wouldn’t limit him to a single field, so a versatile lettermark was chosen instead of a graphic logo. The final circular logo unites his initials, 'D' and 'J,' symbolizing adaptability and continuity, aligning with his values of legacy and professionalism.

Phase 5:
stationary and online branding

Reflecting DJ’s cohesive brand, the stationery design integrates his color palette and circular lettermark, ensuring every interaction conveys his values of reliability, connection, and professionalism.

Phase 6:
brand asset package

Finalized a complete brand package, including black-and-white and color logo variations, ready for versatile client use.
